Description

Built to last isn’t a tagline for us - it’s the baseline. We design all our products to be used, reused and thrown around and the Beysis Personalised Lunch Box is no exception. Made from premium, food-safe Tritan that's BPA-free, this food storage solution is seriously tough. Lightweight, impact-resistant and tested for daily school use, it’s designed to hold up where others give in.

The clear body lets you see what’s packed at a glance, while four separate compartments are sealed with a leak-resistant silicone trim to keep snacks contained and bags clean.

Finished with a 2mm silicone sleeve, this lunch box is protected where it matters most. The sleeve absorbs knocks and drops, adds grip for smaller hands, and comes in six colour options so it can suit every personality (and every school bag). Durable enough for weekdays. Polished enough for every day.

Personalisation comes free, because no one enjoys reuniting with a lunchbox via the lost-and-found bin. Add a name to make it unmistakably theirs - cute, practical, and a simple way to keep track of what belongs to whom.

Practical, damn good-looking, and engineered for real life.

Personalised Lunch Box FAQs

What is Tritan?

Tritan is a premium copolyester plastic designed to look like glass, behave like armour and stay food-safe under pressure. It was specifically designed to replace polycarbonate plastics in food and beverage containers. It's tough, doesn't retain odors or stains, and maintains structural integrity through repeated dishwasher and microwave cycles without leaching chemicals into food.

Unlike standard plastics that become cloudy, brittle, or develop a filmy residue over time, Tritan stays crystal-clear, is heat-resistant up to 100°C and chemically stable. This means it won't break down and release microplastics or endocrine disruptors even under stress! This makes it the premium choice for reusable food containers, baby bottles, and water bottles where safety and longevity matter.

Tritan is tested to FDA standards and widely used in medical and infant-care products because it passes rigorous safety protocols. The Beysis lunch box uses food-grade Tritan specifically for its combination of safety (no BPA, BPS, or phthalates), clarity (kids can see what's packed), and impact resistance (survives school-level drops). Sure it might be a little more expensive than mass retailer alternatives made of PP plastic, - we aren't shying away from that fact. But that's because we think its a very small price to pay for you or your child's long term health. Every small change helps.

Is Tritan safer than plastic for kids’ lunch boxes?

Short answer: yes. Longer answer: Tritan is plastic, just the better kind. It’s specifically engineered for food contact, and it’s BPA-free, BPS-free and free from the chemicals parents are rightfully wary of. No weird smells, no chemical aftertaste, no slow breakdown after a few dishwasher cycles.

What sets Tritan apart from generic plastics is stability. It doesn’t leach chemicals when heated, washed or reused, which makes it a go-to material for kids’ products that need to perform over time. It’s been tested, approved and trusted globally for food storage. So when we say food-safe, we mean it - not “safe-ish if you squint at the label”. We trust in the Beysis lunchbox so much so that all of us them for our own kids, from our toddlers through to our teenagers.

Which lunch boxes can go in the dishwasher?

Lunch boxes made from glass, stainless steel or high-quality Tritan are dishwasher safe. Plastic lunchboxes and bamboo lunchboxes should categorically never go in dishwasher. Tritan can be distinguished because it is heat resistant to 100 degrees and can handle repeated heat and water exposure without warping, cracking or leaching chemicals, which is more than can be said for cheaper plastics.

The Beysis personalised lunchbox is made with food grade Tritan with an extra protective silicone sleeve. For best results, remove the silicone sleeve before popping it in the dishwasher. This allows everything to clean properly and helps extend the life of the product. Dishwasher safe shouldn’t mean “once or twice before it deforms”. It should mean every school night, no drama. If you want to play it extra safe though, handwashing in warm soapy water always does the trick.

What lunch box material doesn’t stain or hold smells?

If you’ve ever opened a lunch box that permanently smells like last term’s pasta, you already know the problem. Almost all standard plastics are porous and so they absorb food particles over time. Impervious materials like glass and Tritan are far better at resisting stains and odours than plastic.

Because Tritan doesn’t absorb oils or food residue, smells don’t linger and colours don’t cling. That means tomato-based sauces, fruit and snacks don’t leave a permanent reminder behind. Regular washing keeps it clear and fresh, without the slow build-up of mystery smells that cheaper materials seem to collect. Beysis' personalised lunchbox fits into this category as it is made of food grade Tritan with no metal of standard plastic parts.

How do you stop lunch boxes smelling after months of use?

In case you didn't get the memo, you have to start with the right material. Non-porous lunch boxes made from Tritan or glass won’t absorb smells in the first place, which already puts you ahead. From there, regular washing, proper drying and the occasional deep clean keep things fresh.

Removal of the silicone seals for cleaning helps eliminate trapped residue, and letting the lunch box air dry fully prevents moisture build-up. For stubborn smells, a quick baking soda or vinegar rinse does the trick. The goal isn’t constant maintenance - it’s choosing a lunch box that doesn’t become high-maintenance over time. The Beysis custom lunch box is made of Tritan and has a single, no mess, no fuss silicone seal - so it is incredibly easy to disassemble and reassemble, ensuring you can clean every crack and crevice thoroughly.

What size lunch box fits in a standard school bag?

A lunch box around 20cm by 15cm by 5cm is the optimal lunchbox size to ensure it fits comfortably in most standard school backpacks without taking over the entire bag. It’s enough space for a full day’s food, without forcing kids to play Tetris with their books.

Slim, rectangular designs stack neatly and sit flat, which makes bags easier to zip and carry. Oversized lunch boxes sound generous in theory, but in practice they’re bulky, awkward and usually half empty. This size hits the sweet spot between capacity and convenience.

What are the best leakproof lunch boxes for school?

Leakproof lunch boxes aren’t about tight lids, they’re about smart design. The best ones use separate compartments, each sealed with a silicone ring, so food stays where it belongs even when the lunch box is tipped, shaken or stored sideways in a bag.

This matters because one big open cavity is basically an invitation for yoghurt to meet crackers. Silicone-sealed compartments create barriers between foods and stop moisture escaping into school bags. When done properly, it means fewer leaks, fewer smells, and no surprise science experiments at the bottom of a backpack. Leakproof isn’t a buzzword, it’s a construction choice.

What is the best way to add a kid’s name to a lunch box so it doesn’t wash off?

If it can be stuck on, scribbled on or glued, it just won't won’t last. The best way to add a kid’s name to a lunch box is permanent personalisation. Achieving this is tricky, but UV heat impregnation is deemed the absolute gold standard when it comes to permanent labelling. This is an industrial process, so not something you can do at home.

Markers fade. Stickers bubble. Dymo loses adhesion with time. Proper personalisation is built into the product, not added as an afterthought. At Beysis, we've invested in the best UV tech and have a special proprietary process to ensure that the name we add to your lunchbox will last the test of time. What's more impressive (if we do say so ourselves) is that we offer this for free, not try and sneak an extra few dollars from you for the privilege. That's because personalisation is at the heart of what we do. It isn't a nice-to-have, it serves a functional purpose.
